About Better Built Trailers near Grainfield, KS

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Mike Bainter started building trailers in the evenings in 1996, moonlighting out of his garage in Hoxie, Kansas while working days with his father Dale Bainter at Bainter Oil Service, Inc. The demand for trailers became such that Mike opened Better Built Trailers in 1999 and relocated to its present Grainfield, Kansas location at Interstate 70 K-23 Exit 93 in 2006. Today, the business has evolved to being a dealer for 20 brands including  manufacturing our own Better Built Trailers of Hay Trailers, and offering complimentary accessories and trailer services.

Mike graduated from the Arizona Automotive Institute in 1985 and spent 13 years in auto mechanics.  Rhonda Bainter had a 25 year background in banking and production agriculture and together in  the Fall of 2013,  they purchased the Polaris® dealership from Bainter Oil Service Inc. In 2016 they purchased the Hustler franchise from their good friend Ron Eberle, who was retiring.  In 2019, we expanded a new building dedicated for the finishing assembly of the hay trailer and in 2020, a new building storage to accomodate future growth.  We have many great people and family that work together doing what we do!!!!
